- PreviewThank you for the comment. We completely agree that using P<.1 or P<.2 would include all of the potential predictors into the model and it may be better than using P<.05 as a cut point. Actually, during the analysis, we used all of these P values as cut-off points (P<.05, P<.1, or P<.2) to explore all of the independent variables to predict weight regain after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. However, no matter which cut-off points we used, the analysis predicted the same independent variables.
