More than a decade has passed since the first consistent reports of what is now the
condition well recognized as postbariatric hypoglycemia (PBH). Typically, patients
can report any combination of the classic autonomic or neuroglycopenic symptoms in
the presence of mild to severe hypoglycemia that issues 2 to 4 hours after a meal,
most often occurring as a late complication of gastric bypass surgery [
